The Madonna and Child

We are grateful to Dr. Mario di Giampaolo who believes that this is an early work by Bedoli, before 1540 (letter 16 November 1999). He compares it with The Christ Child and the Infant Saint John the Baptist in the County Museum of Art, Los Angeles (see M. di Giampaolo, Girolamo Bedoli 1500-1569, Florence, 1997, p. 120, no. 12, illustrated). He will include it in the forthcoming addendum to his monograph on the artist.
