Lot Essay

See W.B. Honey, European Ceramic Art, London, 1952, p. 613 for a discussion of porcelain produced at The Hague in the late 18th century by the Lyncker family. The factory, probably started as a decorating workshop, used an enamel blue stork mark also found on Tournai pieces as well as on examples from Ansbach, in which case the bird's neck incorporates the Ansbach A mark.
