dial with silvered Roman chapter ring, engine turned gold centre with engraved floral decoration, blued steel halberd hands, two train three quarter plate frosted gilt movement with duplex escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, striking the hours and quarters on two gongs, gold cuvette, polished case, the front cover enamelled with double oval portraits of Edward and Alexandra, the border chased with a crown and the emblems of the three kingdoms, the back cover enamelled with the arms of the Royal couple, casemaker's initials JB, London marks for 1864, diameter 49mm.
