[1935], 25.2 x 62cm., linen-backed, signed and annotated by Noel ODELL, showing the positions of Camps IV, V and VI, the position at which Odell sighted Mallory and Irvine on their last climb, and the point at which Irvine's ice-axe was found in 1933; a contoured photograph by John Noel of the north face of Everest, marked on recto and annotated on verso by Odell with the positions of Camps V and VI, and the position of the ice-axe; with a contoured photograph of Everest, annotated on verso by Odell 'From photogrammetric survey by Michael Spender, 1935', a letter from Odell to George Band, Cambridge, 20 December 1978, and a proof copy of an article by Michael Spender on 'Photographic Surveys in the Mount Everest Region', 1936, 5 items;
