A Husky Whip used by Major Kenelm S. Pierce Butler

Butler was commander of Base E of the Falkland Islands Dependency Survey and magistrate of Marguerite Bay. He was briefly host to the private American Ronne expedition at his formerly secret Base E of Britain's Operation Tabarin (1943-45) in 1947-48.

Butler used dog sledges to survey the eastern side of the Antarctic Peninsula in 1945.
