The rectangular top made of two lacquered softwood planks with everted 'bird's tail' ends, supported on a bamboo armature comprising two trestle frames, each with four legs joined by vertical latticework trellises at the front and outer side, the trestle frames joined in front by a wide apron with four diagonal trellis panels separated by three lattice medallions
