(12 7/8 x 21¾ in.), on illustration board, a little soiling and pale dampstains. Singed and inscribed by "Dr. Seuss" at lower right and inscribed: "To Link - Founder of the Red Cap Ski Club..." -- SEUSS, DR. 2 smaller ink drawings (for an advertisement for Flit insecticide). Circa early 1950's. Various sizes, minor soiling. Each signed (one signed "Dr. S."). Theodore Seuss Geisel ("Dr. Seuss") worked on these advertisements for Flit insecticide prior to embarking on his career as a children's book author/illustrator. They reflect, even at this early stage, his bizarre humor and characteristic style which would later become immortalized in The Cat in the Hat. (1957). (3)
