A GEORGE II LIGHT BLUE AND GILT-JAPANNED LONGCASE CLOCK
The dial signed Rich Rayment/BURY, Circa 1740
The matt arched dial with Arabic and Roman chapter ring, and centered by a seconds ring, and pierced blued-steel hands with Apollo mask and scrolled foliate spandrels, surmounted by an eagle above the motto Tempus Fugit in the arch flanked by dolphins and scrolled foliage, within an arched glazed hood with columnar supports, the case with arched door decorated with a scene of people dancing outside a mountain retreat and a base with molded skirting, the light blue now brownish-green from varnish
