A SOUTH ITALIAN BLACK-GLAZED OINOCHOE

With beak-spout, high loop handle and two moulded discs attached at the rim, the squat body with applied red leafy scrolling tendril, 5 in. (12.7 cm.) high; a black-glazed footed dish with metallic sheen, a horizontal loop handle attached at rim, reserved circle on foot, 4th Century B.C., 4¾ in. (12.2 cm.) across; and a late Hellenistic marble female head, her centrally parted hair drawn back under a fillet, a hand conjoined to her right side, circa 1st Century B.C., 2½ in. (6.3 cm.) high (3)
