the base 19th century, the eared rectangular flap opening to reveal a card table, with four wells decorated with scrolling foliage and trellis-work around a chequerboard and tea table decorated with polychrome bouquets, on turned legs joined by stretchers, with label underneath inscribed "This table was presented to Captain John Dalton..." -- 31½in. (80cm.) wide
