House, 20 Manchester Square, London, signed on the reverse in blue ballpoint pen by Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney, in blue ink by John Lennon and in black ink by George Harrison

Lot Essay

This party took place in the middle of the Beatles Autumn Tour, their fourth British Tour in nine months. Before the cocktail party, the group attended a ceremony at E.M.I. House where they were presented with a number of silver presentation discs from E.M.I. Chairman Sir Joseph Lockwood, George Martin and Gerald Marks, editor of Pop magazine.
