John Lennon And Yoko Ono
Two BOAC in-flight questionnaires, both signed and completed by hand individually by Lennon and Ono in 1969 both of the five page documents inscribed by John and Yoko respectively in black felt pen, Lennon's answers to various questions include his destination on his outward journey as Heaven or the Bahamas, reason for his journey as World Peace, ticking the Female box in answer to the question of his gender, giving his current occupation as Artist and stating that the business he's engaged in is Entertainment, adding an observation on the final page of the questionaire Why no films ?...still ?, additionally annotating the penultimate page with self-portrait caricatures of his own and Yoko's smiling faces, signing the final page John Lennon above a doodle of an aeroplane and his amendment of the BOAC logo to read BOACID; Yoko answering three questions on her questionaire with the word Peace ie. the business entailed with the trip, her main reason for making the trip and any other reasons for making the trip, also giving her occupation as Artist and adding her suggestion to the final page of the questionaire bed and bath would be convenient, signing her name Yoko Ono Lennon, both -- 11.5/8x16¼in. Lot Essay

John and Yoko flew from London to Nassau in The Bahamas on 24th May, 1969, with the intention of staging a Bed-In, but left within a day as they found the climate too hot and inhospitable. They flew on to Montreal and began their next seven day Bed-In on 26th May at the Hotel Reine-Elizabeth, Montreal, Canada.
