A GERMAN WALNUT, FRUITWOOD AND MARQUETRY GAMES-TABLE
19th Century
Inlaid overall with asymmetrical foliate scrolls and arabesques, the hinged top with gadrooned moulding inlaid with two games boards and embellished with two engraved and green-stained architectural views, the interior with recessed back-gammon board with engraved architectural landscapes within a further foliate scrolled border with a small frieze-drawer to each side (one drawer replaced), above cabriole legs headed by foliage and terminating in scroll feet above a moulded box stretcher and further claw and ball feet, the top previously removable and now hinged, one drawer with a label numbered '20'
