ELEVEN BRUSSELS CHINOISERIE TAPESTRY FRAGMENTS
Early 18th Century, by Jodocus de Vos
Woven in wools, silks and silvered metal thread, with Chinese figures, on a brown ground, cut from a larger tapestry panel, comprising eight oval figures, two small rectangular fragments and a long strip with four figures;
Together with a piece of silver metal thread embroidery on a blue felt ground and three small pieces of silver metal thread embroidery of military trophies
Each oval fragment approx. 11 in. x 7 in. (28 cm. x 18 cm.)
the other fragments approx. 1 ft 10½ in. x 11 in. (57 cm. x 28 cm.)
