After the Louis XIV original made for the Grand Galerie du Louvre, the black ground with polychrome scrolling acanthus issuing in each spandrel from a large ivory panel within light blue frame issuing the royal arms of France at each end, the panel with ivory scrolling acanthus and floral swags flanking a large light blue oval panel with similar polychrome acanthus together with two lyres and paired archery trophies around a rosette centrepiece, in a light red and blue border of moulded oval panels between rope-pattern and minor stripes, plain outer stripe, full pile, a few repired splits
