A French ormolu mantel clock
In the Régence Style, By Raingo Frères, Paris, Circa 1875
Surmounted by an octagonal dome, the central circular dial signed Raingo Fres Paris, the twin-train movement with countwheel strike on a bell, numbered 562, flanked to each side by shaped elongated scrolls, terminating in all four corners with a female winged caryatid, the centre below the dial with a male satyr mask, above a conforming platform, on bun feet, the left back foot numbered 562, the back mirroring the front and displaying a flower-basket cartouche at the place of the dial
