The central face with raised clusters to the coiffure, a further face to the top of the head with inset panel of red cloth above a broad mouth flanked by eyes on cylindrical stalks, a curved panel above with pierced vertical slits, wings to each side with pierced zigzag ornament, painted black, red and white, the eyes with inset shell opercula, the reverse inscribed: 30583 N. Mecklenburg Dr. A. Krämer

Dr. A. Krämer, Linden Museum, Stuttgart. The Linden Museum catalogue lists this item as a carved board from a temple at Nusah. It was later exchanged with Markert.
