Painted in iron-red, green and yellow enamels and gilt on underglaze blue, the central roundel with a bouquet of chrysanthemum and peony tied with a tasselled ribbon, the well and steep sides painted with shaped panels enclosing the Three Friends pine, bamboo and prunus divided by flower baskets, below the flaring rim
