A small lacquered ivory cabinet
Meiji Period (19th Century)
Decorated in Shibayama-style in gold and iroe hiramakie, takamakie and hirame, the doors with a man holding a bow courting a seated lady opening to reveal three drawers, the top with a bird perched on a plum tree, the sides and back with various trees and birds, copper kanagu (crack to the reverse)
10.8 cm. high x 12.1 cm. wide x 8.2 cm. deep
