François Duquesnoy (1579-1643), known as Il Fiammingo, was born in Brussels and worked in Rome. He was the most celebrated non-Italian sculptor of his day and was friendly with Poussin and Sandrart. Among his works, the Manneken Pis in Brussels is probably the most popular one.
