Slightly tapering cylindrical etui of oval section, both sides of cover and base with octagonal panels of translucent green enamelling on an engine-turned ground of horizontal reeding scattered with pellets and flowerheads, the side dividers and rims enamelled with opaque white leaves and translucent red flowerheads on a matted gold band, the slightly domed top of the cap chased and enamelled with a rosette, the burnished matrix engraved with foliate monogram 'ML'
