Circular box, the independent cover, sides and base with panels of semi-translucent opalescent oyster-coloured enamel on a concentrical reeded engine-turned ground, the cover painted with the apotheosis of a Hero, the sides of the base painted with foliage, the borders of cover, sides and base enamelled with translucent blue and paillon foliage on an engine-turned ground, flanked by white enamel bands, bright-cut gold rims
