Decorated overall with feather and chequer-banding, the concave-stepped hinged top with a pierced handle of an eagle with outspread wings flanked by two eagle-heads issuing from baskets of flowers, the top with further foliage decoration and flowerhead mounts, enclosing a dark-green velvet-lined interior, the sides with conforming foliate and foliage mounts and pierced escutcheon, on pierced foliage bracket feet
