Finely decorated with a scholar in a pavilion accompanied by a pair of attendants, gazing at the moon through a landscape of pine and craggy rocks, the reverse with an inscription

Lot Essay

The inscription may be translated as follows: Wang Changling Standing on the high tower under the moonlight, I listen to the pure sounds coming from the Southern Mountains Yesterday, the shadow of Chang'E (the Moon Goddess) appeared, and the sound of her subtle smile was audible, signed Xin Yeqiao, two seals Zhu and Zhu Shi Dian.
