(Title lightly soiled, free endpaper heavily creased, some handling creases.) 13 hand-colored aquatint plates, 4 double-page, plate of facsimile signatures and engraved map. (Some occasional pale spotting, plate of the Grand Entry into Leipsic with vertical crease and 2-inch associated tear). Contemporary morocco-backed boards (cover detached, spine perished).
Of the 13 colored plates present, 11 correspond, with minor differences, with those in the 1815 edition (see Tooley 97, with 19 colored plates) and 2 are from The Campaign of Waterloo (see Tooley 98). The attractive aquatints of European cities during the Napoleonic wars include views of Berlin, Moscow, Hamburg, Dresden. This edition not in Abbey or Tooley.
