Of hexagonal pear-shape with trumpet neck and flared footrim, painted with flower garlands reserved on the gilt caillouté bleu lapis ground within gilt enriched green feuille-de-choux scrolls suspending harebells, the interior of the mouth with a gilt diaper band, set on a bronze doré rocaille foot

A similar vase with identical decoration from the Grandjean Collection in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs is illustrated in Brunet, Sèvres, fig. 82, where she states that the original drawing in the Sèvres manufactory bears the inscription Demande par Mons. Marmé 1717 2 piesse a anssé première et seconde grandeur
