A MAJOLICA BULL-TERRIER HUMIDORE
Circa 1875, incised 9840, impressed 35 or 85
Modelled before three rectangular spill vases, the side of one as a striker, before a recessed pipe stand, 5¾in. (14.4cm.) wide, overall; together with an English majolica brown-ground plate, circa 1880, painted brown x to the yellow reverse, moulded with a ribbon-tied bouquet of roses, a leaf and fern within a beaded fret-work border, 87/8in. (22.5cm.) diam. (2)
