Lot Essay

The "Duo" globe was a device patented by Columbus-Verlag in 1959, and launched to commemorate the company's fiftieth anniversary. It works via a lamp globe, whereby when the light is switched on, only the physical details are visible, and when extinguished, only the political details are shown.
