ENID BLYTON (1897-1968)
A collection of ten autograph letters and notecards, all signed 'Enid Blyton', eight from Green Hedges, Beaconsfield, two from Grand Hotel, Swanage, dating from 23 February 1959 to 26 July 1961, together 22pp, 8° and 12°, to Mr Towers, concerning her involvement in the Nursery Goods Association of which she was President. She describes writing the eighteenth Famous Five book (Five on Finniston Farm) and declines invitations to speak as she is so busy 'I do hate being well known', she says. There is also a charming description of the London performance of her pantomime Noddy in Toyland, 'hundreds of children...rapt in delight' (creased on folds).
