A tsuba BY SUNAGAWA MASAYOSHI AND ANOTHER SIGNED ISHIKAWA MASATERU
Edo period (19th century)
The first almost round, carved with a cockerel perching on the top of a drum, signed Sunagawa Masayoshi, with a kao, 7.95cm.; the second decorated with two carp swimming upstream, the waterfall and stream carved in the iron plate, with bamboo and rock details inlaid in gold and the carp in shibuichi takazogan, signed Ishikawa Masateru, 8.3cm.
