Lot Essay
It is very interesting to note that over the last five years a very select group of fancy intense pink diamonds have come up for auction. And amongst these, none have been over 3.10 carats. A majority of pinks which are seen at auction have a secondary colour modifier, a variant that is generally purple or brown; however, this stone is exceptional in the fact that it is a straight intense pink, without any secondary colour. What makes this diamond noteworthy is not only the size and eveness of colour, but also the strength or the saturation and the purity of its primary colour.
