Two Meissen figures of Harlequin and Columbine
Circa 1745, blue crossed swords marks to underside of Harlequin and to Columbine at back
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, Harlequin in grey conical hat with an iron-red band and bow, yellow jacket with scattered playing cards, blue breeches and yellow shoes with red rosettes, seated with his legs crossed playing the bagpipes, Columbine in turquoise hat, white blouse, bodice and apron, flowered skirt and yellow shoes, seated playing the hurdy-gurdy, both on rockwork mound bases applied with foliage (one side of his hat-brim a restored replacement, restoration to his right arm at elbow and legs at knees, his left little finger lacking, her hat brim lacking and restored, slight chips to hurdy-gurdy and foliage)
