A Meissen two-handled écuelle, cover and stand
Circa 1740, blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummer 10 to écuelle and 5 to stand
Painted after Watteau with gallants, companions and children seated and strolling in landscape vignettes before tall trees on gilt scroll, diaper-pattern and shell supports linked by purple interlocking scrolls and foliage, the stand with a single Holzschnitt Blume to the centre, the borders with bands of interlocking gilt scrolls and shells and the scroll handles and bud finial enriched in gilt (slight rubbing to gilt finial)
