A French ormolu, bronze and marble mantel clock
Second half 19th Century
Surmounted by a twin-handled urn filled with fruit and flowers and hung with laurel swags, the drum-shaped movement with white enamel and flower-painted dial, with foliate-pierced hands and Arabic numerals and minute divisions, the twin-train movement with countwheel strike on a bell, flanked to each side by a putto on scrolled support bearing a fruit-filled cornucopiae, on shaped base cast with flambeau, bow, flowers and vines, on marble plinth and acanthus-cast toupie feet
13¾ in. (35 cm.) wide; 21 in. (53.3 cm.) high; 5¾ in. (14.6 cm.) deep
