A French ormolu-mounted tulipwood and marquetry commode
In the Transitional style, Late 19th Century
The rectangular brèche marble top above three drawers with ribbon-tied laurel-wreath handles, the upper drawer centred by an inlaid panel of tulip sprays, the two lower drawers inlaid sans traverse with an oval panel of a ribbon-suspended basket of flowers, the apron cast with a cartouche flanked by laurel, with quarter veneered sides, the angles headed by laurel-cast flambeaux, the shaped legs headed by acanthus, on paw feet
