Each as a semi-clad putto supporting three foliate and flower branches in each hand, all with flowerhead nozzles, on square naturalistic base cast with a tree-stump, with further granite base and laurel-cast square plinth, signed to one side Henry Dasson 1883, on laurel-cast bun feet, fitted for electricity

Lot Essay

Related bronze youth figures feature on a pair of torchères at Tatton Park, Cheshire (see Guide to Tatton Park, London 1982, p.8) The bronzier-ébéniste Henry Dasson (d. 1896) was established in the rue Vieille-du-Temple, Paris.
