Third quarter 19th Century
Of oval cylindrical form, the domed cover surmounted by the figure of a seated lion, above a frieze depicting hounds hunting wild boar, stags and bears, the body with a continuous scene depicting Moors astride horses, attacking Christians along with ferocious lions, with foliate scrolling handle, surmounted by a male caryatid and terminating with a grotesque mask, the foot cast with further animals
