A French engraved gilt-brass grande sonnerie carriage clock with calendar and alarm, last quarter 19th century
The oval case with engraved silvered mask to white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes (restored), blued steel moon hands, with subsidiary dials below for day of week (Spanish), alarm and date, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance, strike/repeat/alarm on two gongs, with three position adjustment lever to the underside; case re-gilt -- 6in. (15cm.) high
