The corniche case engraved with foliate scrolls and mounted with porcelain side panels decorated with scenes of lovers within jewelled gilt borders (some losses to beads), the conforming dial with scene of a country house below the Roman chapter ring, with gilt spade hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike on gong to the backplate stamped for Richard & Co. -- 5in. (12.5cm.) high
