A Victorian mahogany quarter-chiming Director's clock, late 19th century
The case with lunette top flanked by flambeau finials, fluted brass columns to the recessed front angles, with cast brass sound frets to the sides, the stepped base on brass bracket feet, the dial with silvered chapter ring, signed on a silvered plaque below XII DENT LONDON, matted centre and gilt metal foliate spandrels, with subsidiary rings above for chime/silent, slow/fast and Whittington/Cambridge chimes, the substantial triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement quarter chiming on a nest of eight bells and with hour strike on gong, trip repeat, with pendulum holdfast to the backplate -- 21¼in. (54cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday 8 September and every week-day from 9.00a.m. to 5.00p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THIS SALE.
On the Thursday 14 September a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per furniture lot, and £9.25 per non-furniture lot; and a storage charge of £3.20 per furniture lot and £1.60 per non-furniture lot per day; will come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
Please note: All charges due to Cadogan Tate must be paid at the time of collection from their warehouse. Only payment by cash, credit card or bankers draft will be accepted.
