Tunga draws inspiration for his art work from literature, philosophical and scientific references. His work mainly responds to the fantasy and the great fictions of Latin America, while staging familiar objects in transmuted situations. The present piece is the small-scale model for a monumental piece that Tunga executed in 1995.
