Oblong and on four shell and vine feet, the frame on four reeded tapering supports with anthemion and scroll terminals, with berried ivy borders and central leaf-capped reeded ring handle, fitted with six vase-shaped egg cups each chased with palmettes and scrolling foliage on a matted ground and six Hourglass pattern egg spoons, with maker's mark of William Eley and William Fearn, London, 1823, each engraved with a crest, the stand engraved twice with a crest, marked on stand, frame, egg cups and spoons
