A Charles II silver caster
London, 1682, maker's mark F.A with fleur-de-lys beneath
On spreading foot pierced with estoiles and hearts, the cylindrical body applied with moulded rib and with detachable pierced domed cover with bayonet fitting and baluster finial, applied with cut-card work, with corded borders, the body engraved with a coat-of-arms within plume mantling and beneath the base with the initials EB, marked on body and cover, the cover fitted with later sleeve
