Two Meissen figures of Devisenkinder
One circa 1775-1778, the other 19th century, both marked with underglaze blue crossed swords and Pressmarken
Modelled by Michel Victor Acier after drawings by Johann Eleazar Zeissig, the 18th century winged cupid holding a bow, resting on a cloud, the triangular neoclassical base inscribed coup sur coup (everytime again); the 19th century one holding a floral garland above a pillar of Love with burning hearts, the base en suite, inscribed je les couronne (I crown them) (the 18th century one repaired)
