The Doncaster Cup, A George III Silver-Gilt Trophy Vase
Maker's mark of Paul Storr, London, 1817
Formed as the Warwick vase and on a square base engraved with inscriptions, with a spreading circular foot and gadrooned lower body, the upper body applied with grapevine issuing from two interlaced vine handles, with everted egg-and-dart rim, marked on rim, also stamped on base 'RUNDELL BRIDGE ET RUNDELL AURIFICES REGIS ET PRINCIPIS WALLAE REGENTIS BRITAINNIAS'
