A set of three Chinese painted pottery models of equestrians
one modelled as a dignitary seated with his hands clasped before him, wearing long flowing robes and a tabbed hat, the other two modelled as attendants wearing tunics and peaked caps, with one arm by their sides and the other raised in the air, the saddled horses on shaped reticulated bases with their heads turned slightly to the left, all decorated in red, white and black pigments -- the attendants 11in. (28cm.) high, Tang Dynasty, (some restoration and old wear).
