A set of six late Ming dishes
decorated in underglaze blue, iron red, green enamels and gilt with gourd shaped panels of birds amongst scrolling foliage within floral border cartouches and phoenix in flight, the undersides with trailing foliage and precious objects -- 7¾in. (19.6cms) diam, (gilt rubbing, small chips and nibbles, one cracked).
