A GEOMETRIC PITCHER WITH LID

Decorated in dark slip, the surface completely covered with horizontal bands of ornament, including a band on the body divided into metopes filled alternatively with lozenges and checkered squares, the shoulder with relief nipples alternating with lozenge-filled metopes, the tall neck with a complex hatched meander, and below the rim a band of opposing cross-hatched triangles, the high vertical strap handle with a single strut, ornamented with squares filled with crossed lines dividing cross-hatched triangles, the concave lid with a central cup-shaped knob, the surface filled with plain and hatched bands
