The obverse with Dionysos and a maenad, the god clad in a chiton and himation, a wreath in his hair, holding grape vines in his left hand, the maenad in a chiton, a wreath in her hair, cradling a panther, with cocks on slender Ionic columns to the right and left, the panel framed by bands of meander on either side; the reverse with a departing warrior facing a bearded man, the warrior wearing a himation and carrying a shield, spear and a crested Corinthian helmet, the man wearing a himation and holding a staff, the warrior's dog between them facing left, his head raised towards his master, with cocks on slender Ionic columns to the right and left; rays above the foot and a lotus palmette chain above the scenes
