The tondo with a crouching satyr moving right but looking left, with long hair, a balding pate and a beard, a wreath in added red in his hair, armed with a spear and a pelta with a quail and dotted rings as the blazon; one side of the exterior with four satyrs in a mock battle, to the left of center a satyr armed with a spear and a pelta turns to attack an unarmed satyr further to the left, the shield with a quail and two dotted rings as the blazon, the unarmed satyr tripping his attacker by bending forward and grabbing his foot, his own crouching pose supported by his left foot which rests on the base of the handle, to their right a crouching satyr reaches back to impede the attacker, a wine-skin in the space between them, and on the far right a second armed satyr with spear and pelta moves to the right but turns back, the shield with a panther head and two dotted rings as the blazon, each satyr wearing a wreath in added red, a single letter in added red in the field; the other side of the exterior with three ithyphallic satyrs involved in more typical Dionysian pursuits, the satyr in the center, his head turned frontal, holds a large amphora adorned with a garland between his legs, the satyr to the left bends forward supporting a large wine-skin with his right hand, and holds a rhyton in his left, while the satyr to the right has leaned his wine-skin against the base of the handle, the wine-skin inscribed in black with the first part of a kalos inscription, "HO PAIS," each satyr wearing a wreath in added red, part of an inscription in added red in the field
